Vocal Cat - The Game

An old thing I did on Gimp.

The video game of my cat, Vocal Cat.

As repetitive and imaginative as any other Wii game, the game has 3 crappy mini-games, only made cool by the fact that Vocal Cat is in them.

In one, all you do is press a button on the wiimote to make your character make a meow-sound to which Vocal Cat will respond. Then you just repeat that until you get bored.

In another mini-game, you can point the wiimote anywhere on the in-game floor, press another button and your character will call out 'din-din!' (food time) and Vocal Cat will instantly run to wherever you pointed and meow, hoping for food. And carry on doing this until you're sick of it.

In the last game, you use the wiimote to stroke Vocal Cat and make her purr, but after a while she'll turn psycho and you have to move your hand away quickly before she bites you. then repeat. Then never play again because you realise that this game sucks.

Come to think of it, I bet *more* thought has gone into game design for this than other wii (or DS) games.

I'm all for nintendo, a huge fan of everything that came before, but since the DS/Wii, come on, they just suck so bad; "games" are just compilations of repetitive, baby-ish mini-games. Nintendo's alienating all the real gamers...
